Energy

At the heart of our renewable energy commitment lies our expansive rooftop adorned with over 20,000 square feet of solar panels, a symbol of our dedication to sustainable practices. Generating clean energy from the sun, they power a significant portion of our operations, providing us with around 25% of the energy we consume.

All our remaining energy needs are met through wind and solar power, ensuring that every aspect of our operation is powered by nature. We do not source any energy from fossil fuels.

Electric Vehicles

In 2023 we made a commitment to start replacing our fleet with electric vehicles, we are now making deliveries in London with electric vehicles which are charged from renewable energy sources including solar from the roof of our Greenford HQ.

Moving to electric vehicles represents a significant stride towards a cleaner, greener future for our transport network. Unlike their traditional counterparts, EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, mitigating harmful pollutants. By eliminating pollutants like nitrogen oxides, EVs contribute to cleaner air, fostering healthier communities.

Our electric vehicles are only charged from renewable sources such as solar and wind power, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

Their higher energy conversion rates translate to increased efficiency, requiring less energy and leaving a smaller ecological footprint.

Our vehicles also contribute to quieter streets with their silent electric motors, reducing noise pollution.

Consolidated vehicles from Europe

Our company minimises transport from the EU by bringing over full lorries directly to our warehouse. This ensures direct, full loads, reducing the number of lorries on the road and optimising routes. By consolidating all our produce on dedicated Wholegood lorries, we further minimise pollution with more direct routing and minimal stops.
